Hola...
well happy v-day to everyone! yes they do celebrate it here, but not
half as big as in the states. i haven't seen flowers, hearts or special
chocolates anywhere here! its actually kind of nice ha. well i cannot
believe it has been a whole year since i went into the MTC! time has
flown by so fast.... i haven't seen much of a change in me, but then
again i see myself everyday. but i hope you all can see a change for
the better..
well, it was awesome having my companion with the same
time as me. we decided to celebrate it right. soooo, we made french
toast and bacon! we found bacon the other day.. oh my goodness have i
missed that stuff, as well as french toast. so it was a great
breakfast! and a great way to start of another year. we then did our
usual stuff... as in teaching and contacting... and then we had a ceremony
at night... it was great. we call it "the burning". Elder Lisonbee
burnt his old agendas and a tie and i burnt a tie and my pants! the
pants that used to be black, but from this absolutely lovely sun they
were brown... sooo we burnt them :) it was a great ceremony... i'm not
going to lie...
well not a whole lot new this week... mom you are right. working hard
definitely has its satisfaction. after a full day of contacts and good
well taught lessons, i really feel great! but i can definitely feel it
if we are teaching because we need to teach 10 more lessons before our
district leader calls to get our numbers.. it's sad that sometimes it
has to be like that. i know that if you plan it out right, it doesn't have to be
like that. but being young...still not so mature... imperfect 20 year
olds, that stuff sometimes happens.. but you really can tell a
difference between the two!
Claudia and Johana are doing well.however.... neither
of them came to church this week, sooo that means that we have to
change their baptismal dates. it's kind of a bummer, but they will get
baptized. they have accepted practically everything, we just need to
go through all the lessons again and get them to come to church! oh
and we did find out that Jimmy's mom (Claudia's kind of mother in law)
was dealing drugs ha. so now we have associated with a thief and a drug
dealer! lovely stories from Victoria, but Margarita (Jimmys mom) has
really changed after being in prison for two years. she is a member
and wants to go back to church but can't at the moment because she is
on house arrest. anyways she is a great woman, even though her past
wasn't the best, you can really see a change in her. i just hope she
doesn't fall back into her old ways again... well that's all i have for this
week! hope you all have great week! love you all
