hello hello,
hey mom, i got the package...at least Elder Call told me it was in the office... so no need to worry about that! i will probably pick it up next week when we have a little more time. this week has been crazy... but i honestly can't remember what happened.... it seems like these past two weeks have been identical because we have been trying to get our investigators prepared for this week. Sidney and his family are doing great! i can't remember if i told you, but they fasted a full fast! it was awesome... they feel really good about what they are about to do. it's kind of sad though... Sidney stays for priesthood and, well... Priesthood isn't the most spiritual class. i feel bad because i want him to be more uplifted in that class, but all they talk about is how bad home teachers are and then they end up getting in a fight! it's funny from my point of view, but i just stress so much that Sidney doesn't get the wrong idea... he stays though and says he enjoys the other classes. Marta and Moises are doing pretty well. there are some doubts creeping in but they should be pretty simple to resolve. Marta just worries way too much about things, i think it might be a part of her nervous system because she stutters. honestly i don't know if that has anything to do with it. all in all they are doing well. Isidora was gone all week last week so it was difficult to be able to teach her anything. we are going to have to go by her place everyday this week to get her prepared. she seems excited though! the zone is definitely doing better. we are looking at 12 baptisms for this month...the numbers are improving every month!
Mendenhall is really helping me. we exercise everyday and we get along really well. it was actually his birthday yesterday, so i made him breakfast and then we had three lunches and two full cakes!!... our diet isn't working out that well ha! because we have some great members here. actually, two were investigators who gave us lunch! it was a good day.
we have our Christmas tree up! it has a couple dinky lights... half of them don't work, ha. and some ornaments. we decided to go all out in our celebration of Christmas this year because last year i didn't even see a Christmas tree. oh, about the call on Christmas day... i'm not sure when we will do it, but what time are you having lunch? Pres. hasn't talked about the call yet, but we will find out this week though.
and for when i get home, i can't go back to the south with the new rule that missionaries can't return to their old sectors. so i don't know what to bring you all??? there really isn't anything cool up north. but if you tell me something that you would like i can look for it...or i can call someone i know down south to get it for me. just let me know. i just don't know what to get you all because there are so many.
i would like to talk a little about finances when i talk to you mom and dad... just how much school is going to cost and stuff, so i can prepare a good budget and know what i'm looking at :) . Mendenhall and i made some estimates and it's looking like a ton of cash. i think i will be working two jobs when i get home and having no life!
well that's all i've got. i love you all... have a great week!
