hola familia y amigos! It has been so good to hear from you all! Thank you so much for the letters and the packages. It makes a change in my day to get a slip saying that i have a package waiting for me! It's kinda like christmas :) But don't worry, i'm not letting the packages distract me.. It is so weird to think two weeks have gone by! its happened so fast... i have learned so much. well let me tell you about mi compañero. Elder Thomas is from Dallas, texas. He is definitely a texan. He´s quite a bit different i guess you could say. for instance, he bought some chop sticks at the MTC store and has been trying to use them for ever meal! But he has a good heart. it´s sometimes hard to get a long with him, i am definitely learning patience... i had my first one on one interview with one of my teachers yesterday. he said that he can tell when someone is understanding spanish, and he can tell when a missionary will succeed. he said that i am one of those. i honestly don´t feel like it. learning a language is definitely hard. i don´t know how dad learned Finnish! but its coming slowly but surely. my teacher, hermano allred, also said that my companion was struggling. well i knew that. he said that most missionaries would just get frustrated and angry with elders like him, but he told me that i had a lot of patience. i don't´have it, but i´m learning it ha ha. but i am still praying for love for him. he really is a great elder. let me just tell you what a day in the life of a missionary is... wake up by six thirty or earlier if you want to get a shower without waiting in line. get to breakfast by seven. finish by seven thirty. go have personal, and companion study, and language study. go to lunch at 1130. be back in class by 12. study some more, and then our teachers come, hermano (brother) allred and hermano paz soldan. they are great teachers by the way. they are both different, so we get a good variety. then we go to dinner at 430 be back at class by 5 and study and learn some more till 9. then we have planning session till 930. go back to our rooms and write in our journals get ready fro bed and go to bed by 1030. and also every day except P day and sundays we have gym for an hour. P days are on tuesdays and we don´t have much time to do much other than emails, some letters and laundry, the temple and back in the class rooms. i´m sorry i don´t have much more time to write, so i´ll write the rest in a letter and mom can you just add it to the email. p.s. happy birthday allie kim and brock soon to be! hope you have good ones! i would like an electric razor for my birthday, some in soles would be awesome! i don´t care what you send me anything will be great. i would like an hlj(ctr) ring. in an 8.5. the thicker the ring the better. ummm. we taught the lesson in the trc where people volunteer to be investigators. it went really good! but we have a lot of room to improve, as well as i need to help my companion with espanol. we have another trc tomorrow. i hope we can do better and pray for the lords help. the food sucks... ha but i´m so hungry i eat it. i guess it´s not too bad. my district is great! i love them! we have grown together stronger friendships i´ll finish more bye
