Hola

busy, busy week for you guys at home! i'm glad! i can't believe so many
things are changing up there... but change is good! it was so great
being able to see and talk to you all last week. it's something we look forward
to a lot. the kids are getting big! i hope they stop a little bit so i can
see them grow!

well... things are going great here in Lota. after 2 weeks of ice cold
showers (i mean cold.... when you can see your breathe before you get into
the shower, you know it's cold), we got the water heater fixed! what a
blessing. we all got pretty sick from it... especially my comp. he stayed
in the house for two days this week. but all is good now. i had a
wonderful visit from a good friend ... IVAN! it was so great
to see him! because we couldn't leave the house (Allen being sick), he
came over to the apartment and we talked for a little while. he is planing
on a mission after his studies! it was so great to hear his stories
and even though i didn't do much... he really thanked me for how i helped
him. it was all the Holy Ghost, but i'm glad we are great friends.

one day during lunch this week we were eating with a family who has a
little kid about 7 years old. i was just messing with him from across
the table...we were having starring contests and stuff. he told me he had the
mirada malvada (evil look), then i said i had the "power". well i looked
at him straight in the eyes and wiggled my nose. he busted up laughing...
started choking a little bit on the rice he was eating... and then threw
up...... woops.... there was an awkward silence and then i said, well..
i told you i had the "power". the awkwardness went away and we had a
good laugh. just a funny story for you. now I can say... i made someone throw up!

the greatest news of all!!! we had a lesson with Natali and Edgard
this week and with a couple that got married last year. we watched a
Mormon Message about "Choosing Today". it went great. it was just what
they needed. they decided to "tie the knot". so this morning we went to do the
paper work with them. they are getting married the 30th of this month!
it's awesome! i'm excited for them! And... even though we couldn't work much
this week, we brought four people to church! things are going great
here. i love the gospel! i love you guys and hope you have a great
week!
