Email #22…July 19, 2010

(Me and my companion, Elder Leiva)

(Friends from the MTC)

oh my goodness the insoles are so nice! i feel so much better now. i could not stop smiling when i tried them on! It’s crazy what a little constant pain can do to your attitude. thanks for sending me a package! i‘m excited to get it… as well as the letter from the reunion. i sure do miss the reunion! i hope you guys had fun! that sucks that dad has problems with his feet... I’m sure i am going to get the same problems down the road.. and you mom… 5 days out of seven! That’s crazy… i hope you weren’t too tired...

well…i am wrestling God in prayer and i thank you for your prayers.(After his last email about rejection week… I had shared with him…Alma 8:10 where Alma is rejected in Ammonihah, so. .. “Alma labored much in the spirit, wrestling with God in mighty prayer, that he would pour out His spirit upon the people who were in the city…) prayer really is an amazing thing. i know i talk about it a lot, but my testimony gets stronger week by week.

my comp and i are getting along great! we are good friends and are working hard. we know what we should be doing and we are doing it. he is really setting an example for me as well. i just hope we can keep it up. our numbers were low this week, which i don’t know how... it’s not like we weren’t working hard and we did as much as we could, but the numbers were low. our zone leaders called last night and talked to me about it. i don’t know why me because I’m the comp menor, but they did. and he wasn’t yelling at me, just concerned, but i felt horrible about it. my comp cheered me up though. he could tell i was kind of down and he helped me look at what we did do. we found some good people. whether they progress or not, i don’t know, but we are finding people... and we did do all we could… they are going to do splits this week with us. of course I’m staying in my sector, but I’m just going to show them that we are working.

oh and this week the weather has been really weird. sunny and then windy. really windy. it sounds like “our roof is going to rip of” windy! but no clouds. it is so weird, but it’s supposed to rain this week.

as i look back, the time has really flown by.... I’m coming up on six months in just of couple weeks. it has gone by in the blink of an eye... it’s crazy! almost a quarter of the mission has come and gone. but i am loving it. i am enjoying it. i am learning from every moment. it is amazing!

esta experiencia ha sido maravillosa. yo se con todo mi corazon que esta iglesia es verdadera. que tenemos experiencias para esforsarnos. todo pasa por un razon, pero a veces necesitamos buscar eso razon. estoy in chile porque un profeta me llamó por medio la revelacion. yo no estaria aqui sin la ayuda de mi familia. i love you and have a great week!
