thanks mom. i got some good comfortable boots so it should be good. the sad thing is, my feet have been killing for the past two weeks. i think i need some good arch support. I’ve been talking to Sister Swenson about it and trying to get to a place to get some good insoles. the problem is… that you have to have a prescription for them! and I’ve been trying to get Elder Espinal to go, but he always makes up an excuse... I’ve noticed that if what we are doing isn’t for him, he doesn’t care to do it... it’s been frustrating! and there was some drama with him and Sister Swenson about something else... overall, it’s just frustrating… but Sister Swenson is calling me today so we will get it figured out. the only way it’s comfortable is if i walk on the outside of my feet… but no worries, we´ll figure it out.
it is raining like always here. it’s pretty chilly outside. i still need to take a picture of my rain outfit. we look pretty ridiculous, but we stay warm and dry! i´ll do that this week…but, we don’t ever get snow here. there’s only snow in Chillean in the mountains, so it’s just cooold and wet here… i’m not going to lie… i was pretty... not depressed, not homesick, but kind of bummed yesterday because it was the fourth… my favorite holiday! i just remember all the good memories from the fourth and the good times with friends and family… and here it was raining and blowing sooo hard yesterday! no one came to church because it was raining. we had about fifty in church, when the usual is seventy. which also meant we didn’t have investigators either.
however, this week was good at first. we actually found some great people! we met a mother and a daughter in the street. we asked them for a directions and then obviously introduced ourselves as missionaries. they asked US what time church was and WILLINGLY gave US their address! then thirty seconds after them, another lady stopped us in the street and asked us to come by her house because she wants to learn more about our church. i thought i was dreaming! this sector is usually not like that. in fact it hadn’t been like that in six weeks! so anyways we had a bunch of appointments set up for Saturday. Saturday came along and we set out to our appointments…only to find none of them home! not one! the adversary is working very hard here. trying to bring us down. i’m not going to lie… it did bring me down, but i know that it happened for a reason. maybe they just weren’t quite ready to accept our message. maybe they just need one more week. so we will try them this week.
speaking of this week… tomorrow i will meet my new companion! i am staying here in San Pedro for another cambio. i m hoping to see some success here this cambio with my new companion. i heard he is a great guy. his name is Elder Leiva and he is Chilean. he doesn’t have a lot more time than me… so this will be interesting. i’m excited and can’t wait. i’m ready for a new companion, to say the least.

Elder Espinal wanted to pretend like he was taller than me... ha!
we made some honduranian tortillas with a recent member family and then a picture of my district and our zone.
