what a great week! me and my new companion, Elder Gibbs are doing
great… we are rocking it here and having a great time! we have a lot
in common and both were really excited when we found out we would be
working together. things are really going great here… and conference
was absolutely amazzzing! I’m not going to lie, before the mission i
wasn’t that excited, but now i couldn’t wait this week to be able to
watch conference! i learned many, many great things that i wish i could
tell you all, but i won’t due to time constraints. there is one thing i would like
to say about the first talk by Elder Holland…. he was talking
about how much parents do for their sons and daughters on missions. now i know that i don’t know all that you two go through mom
and dad, but i am truly grateful for the sacrifices you have made,
are making, and will make for me. thank you soo much! i know i wasn’t
the best saver, and I also want to thank you for all your help spiritually and
emotionally in helping me go on a mission. So… thank you, muchas
gracias....
we got to see the conference in English!!! oh how much better it is in
English. we didn’t get to watch it all in English though. all Saturday…
yes in English, but Sunday no. why you ask? because we brought an
investigator!!!!!! Iván… who is just a stud. he has been taught only a
couple times these past six months due to his work schedule, but it
has changed now. He and I are really good friends…he was the
one who came to choir. Anyway, he came for the morning session on Sunday
but said he for sure wouldn’t come in the afternoon. but what happened? he
came to the second as well!! and on top of that he stayed after conference to
sing in the stake choir! he now has many friends in the church who
will support him. it is so exciting! and i can honestly say that i have never felt so good in my life… because he is really the first
investigator that i have taught and helped really get to church! I’m
excited to see what happens.
a little background on my comp…. Elder Gibbs is from Centerville Utah.
people think that i have more time than him because of my Spanish but he
has three more months. we are working hard on our Spanish, and i am
really feeling a lot better talking to people. i definitely have much
more room to grow, but I’m slowly but surely progressing. i am loving
the mission and am so glad i made this decision. i would NOT trade it
for the world… or even a dirt bike(that doesn’t mean i don’t love my
dirtbike though. dad, it better be there when i get home). and what a great
opportunity we had to listen to our Heavenly Fathers voice through our
wonderful prophet. i hope you all enjoyed it as much as i did. i love
you all and hope you have a great week!

p.s. i lost my pen drive, so i bought another one... sorry, but i need
something to back up my pictures. I’m as well going to make a back up
on DVD’s. and yes you can send me a CD… i can upload it on my mp3
player. that would be great. love you mom!
