Hola...
the time seriously goes by so fast... i can't believe it's already been
another week! things have been going pretty well the last few days. we
actually had something new from president. i can't remember if i told
you, but our norm for contacts each week is 140.... the week of
sanctification (the first week of the cambio) is 200. he's changed it up.
we are now having the week of sanctification the first week of every
month with some other twists. our baptismal goal for the year is 1000,
we are missing 490... so the goal for contacts this last week was 490!
he promised us blessings and well... we received blessings! it was
tough but we were able to do it. i started losing my voice because...
well, my comp can't communicate very well yet...ha. so it was a little tougher,
but fun! we ended the week with 503 contacts! that's the most i have ever
done in a week... and man, was that a lot. President Martinez said that
August would be a "white month"... meaning that we are going to baptize
a lot! well, that's the truth...i believe it. we are doing what you call a
bautizaso... which means a huge baptism! every zone is putting baptismal
dates with their investigators for the 27th of this month. and each zone
is going to baptize in one chapel. it is going to be sweet! we put a
date with Richard this week. he is such a great kid and that is just a
great family. they are such a blessing to have in the branch. Rosa is
now going to give us lunch every Saturday! also Camila, who has a
baptismal date, has her brother coming to church. i have met him
before and he didn't seem to care at all about the church, so i just thought
he was coming to support his sister. well... we went by their house the
other day and he asked me "when are you going to give me a permission
slip to get baptized?" i thought he was joking! i told him whenever he
wanted. and then i thought about it and said "wait, for real"(with a
raised eyebrow). he said,"yeah, duh. that's why i have been going to
church!" pfff. i asked if he want to get baptized the 27th and he accepted!
sweet! so now we have three baptisms for the 27th and one for this week,
which we will probably move because he's not quite ready. but all in all there
are blessings all over the place...resulting from the sacrifices we are making
as we make contacts. our president is an inspired man... he's so great! i
also had to do an intercamio this week because Collipulli is not
getting along at all... it just keeps getting worse.. so we are trying
to fix the problems. there is just a huge lack of communication
between the two. so i am with Elder Torres right now, while Elder Call
is with Elder Degracie. i just hope they can make it till the end of the
cambio... anyways, it was a great week! i love you all! have a good
one.
