Hola
it really is great to make such awesome friends in the mission...
speaking of, we had an awesome P-day today! one of the Elder"s converts
has an RV, so they took us up to these lakes... close to our house,
actually. we all went up in the RV with a bunch of food and our
guitars. when we got up there my jaw just dropped..it was soooo
gorgeous! and to think it was only 20 minutes from our house! this
lake was just surrounded by the most gorgeous cliffs with a waterfall. it
was breath taking and definitely one of the greatest P-days. we played
some guitar and ate and hiked. just a very "lay back" P-day.
this week was pretty good. kind of a bummer that we have lost two
baptismal dates. :( Victor... we still haven't been able to find… and after
calling his mom so many times and hearing all her excuses why she can't
talk to us about her son, we decided to just let him go for a little
while. Richard is still uneasy about baptism and just doesn't take the
initiative on reading and praying. i love that family to death and he
will get baptized, we just feel like we would be rushing him if he
were to get baptized this week. on the other hand, Hugo and Camila are
good! we did an intercambio with the zone leaders and i went with
Elder Tripp to Camila and Hugos. we made banana bread and shared a
Mormon message, "Choose today whom you will serve". it is by far my
favorite and helps a lot with us as missionaries. we invited Camila to
meditate on it and pray. she did so and said she was ready. so we will
have two baptisms this week! i also had to teach the zone this last
district/zone meeting. Tripp said it would be good practice for when i
become zone leader... bah!... so i taught about the power of faith and
mental power... how they go hand in hand and how much a thought can
change our attitude, whether it be about baptism, getting along with
our comps or even how our day is. i feel it went alright. i showed a
clip of a motocross rider going off a jump and showing how he prepared
himself for doing this certain trick… a lot of it was mental power and
having the "faith" (i guess you could say) that he was going to land
it. i felt good about the lesson and it was pretty fun. any who that
was my week. it went pretty well. i love you all… and have a good week!
