buenos dias! well, it's another week here at the mtc... wow time has flown! it's crazy to think that i only have less than two weeks left (if my flight plans are set according to my leave date). But honestly it has been so fast! sometimes i wonder if i can even really speak that much Spanish. i get worried that i'm not going to be able to teach or to do a contact when i go out into the "real world", but i pray for the Lord’s strength and all of the talks recently have been about knowing that the Lord is on our side and He will help us.
not a whole lot has happened this week… and when i say that, i mean nothing out of the ordinary, ha. we had a new district come in, and it was our responsibility to teach them and make them feel welcome. we had about two hours total we had to teach them. at first i was a little nervous, but once i did it, it was so fun! their brains were fried and it's crazy to see how far my district has come since the first day. this past week has been so busy preparing for that, and then meetings on top of that. it has been a little hard trying to juggle preparing for teaching the second lesson in Spanish and fulfilling our responsibilities in our callings. but i know that the Lord will bless us for our efforts. we haven’t really had more than a couple minutes to relax! we haven’t really gotten to know our knew branch president, President Harris, much, other than meetings and stuff. but he is an amazing president! he is so serious about the gospel, as he should be, but he is very funny as well. at first i thought he was gonna bajar la caƱa on us because he seemed so strict. but the more i get to know him, the better it gets. he has an amazing testimony and has a love for everyone in our zone.
oh another thing we had to do as zone leaders was to conduct a zone meeting.... well our teacher told us about the meeting ten minutes before it started! so we had to hurry and pick missionaries for the prayers, music, etc. then we had to come up with any issues we had as a zone and address them. then our teacher took over for a little bit to teach about contacts. after we did the activity we had to conduct again, getting input from the zone to find out what was good and what was bad about the activity. talk about spur of the moment! but it went fine and it wasn't that bad… kinda fun actually. other than that it has been a pretty normal week.
mom it sounds like you have and are way busy! that's good and bad i guess? i have access to a vacuum, but will they need my things out of bags when they check? especially cuz it's international? if you could figure out if they're "legal" that would be great. i still don't know about flea collars, i don't know if it would be easier to purchase them there or not, so maybe see how heavy or big they are and then we will see. i could use some ziplock bags as well. as for general conference, we can't take anything with us to eat. we get to sit in semi comfortable chairs for 10 hours! yipee ha. No, i'm actually excited, just wish i could bring a pillow or something. but snacks are always good in between. i do have a lot as it is though. it's always nice getting a package every once in a while :)
well i love you all! yo se que esta iglesia es verdadera, y jesucrist vive. yo se que dios nos ama mucho, y el envio su hijo a sufrir por nosotros asi que podemos vivir con dios otra vez. en el nombre de jesucristo amen. oh and we speak Spanish every day now… all day! it's crazy, but we are actually doing it. i just wish i could expand my vocab a little... any ways los quiero!
