the weather has been sooo weird here.. this week its rained once and all the other days have been so sunny! the down side to that is that it is a lot colder… for the most part. It’s kind of a win/ lose win/ win situation… either be soaking wet and not so cold, or be freezing and not wet. either way it’s not that bad. my body is getting used to it. this week has also had some amazing sunsets… as well as a full moon that was gorgeous last night. It’s amazing to see all the creations that God has given us. a couple weeks ago in gospel principles we were talking about the creation. i never have really, really thought about the creation… i mean i realized that Jesus created the earth under the direction of our Heavenly Father and all… but all the creations on the earth are for us to enjoy! look around you, isn’t everything so magnificent. i was thinking what if we lived in a world of just one color, how boring would that be? instead we have beautiful creations that vary so much around the world… we have the red rocks in Moab and the green mountains in Chile. It’s amazing and i am so grateful to have such beautiful creations to enjoy in life.
i finally got the packages! It’s kind of nice living close to the office. we can go there on P-days and get our re embulses (don’t know how to spell it), instead of waiting for the next conference. i haven’t opened them yet, but thank you so much for sending them! i don’t really have a lot to say this week. i went on a mini intercambio with Elder Mendoza. he set a great example for me. he showed me how to work efficiently. we didn’t have any appointments and i was in charge so we contacted… and man did we contact! we knocked houses and did 70 contacts… of all those we found a few potentials. we didn’t get in any of their houses, but they said to pass by another day. i hope we can find a couple choice people who are prepared for the gospel… and next week are transfers. I’m going to be completely honest, I’m excited for them. whatever happens i know it will be what's best for me. I’m pretty sure i will be staying here though… that’s usually how it works. but anyway, this transfer has gone by so fast! It’s hard to think that I have been in San Pedro five weeks.
i still have yet to get boots, my comp is pushing my patience with that. i think it’s because he doesn’t want me to have boots until he gets the ones that he left in his last sector. i don’t know why we can’t just get the dang things. but I’m being patient… don’t worry..
my typical P-day consists of sleeping in till 9, either relaxing for a little and maybe going to the mall… coming back and ordering a sandwich(they have amazing sandwiches and completos)… getting groceries… we watched Chile play today, no worries… we had permission. Umm… we can go bowling as you already know… we have a sister that washes our clothes so i don’t have to worry about doing laundry…read emails on the internet… just kind of a relaxing day.
