feliz año nuevo!
wow! the time really has gone by fast... and it keeps getting faster!
for New Years, we had a barbeque in between lunch and one, then we had
our movie night that we do every week. after the movie, we
went over to Alejandra´s house and had a dinner there. all in all it
was a great time. actually one of the better New Year’s Eves i’ve had.
Saturday was very uneventful. no one was outside. it was completely
dead! but we were able to get some lessons in and some visits. and on
top of that, it has been sooooo hot! the temperature was the hottest on Saturday.
it was really hard to keep going. we had to take a rest after walking every
where… trying to get into a house. but we kept our water up and it all
went well.
on Sunday, we had our investigator… who has a baptismal date... at the church. it was great to see him! he is a great guy and finally
decided to change his ways. his wife has waited over 20 years for this
moment and 3 different times of the missionaries teaching him. so it
will be great… hopefully he goes through with it this time. please pray for him!
yesterday morning i had horrible allergies, so i took a benydryl. church, not gonna lie, was pretty boring so i had quite a hard time
staying awake. it finally got so bad that we went home thirty minutes
before meetings ended. after resting for a bit and having lunch,
the earthquake came. it was a pretty strong one, but nothing really
happened…except the door moved a little bit, but it wasn’t like it
was slamming shut or anything like that. just soft wide movements.
pretty cool… I’m not gonna lie… i love that feeling!
then, today was a great day! we started off at 6:30 in the morning, took
a train to Temuco and then a bus to one of Elder Clemence’s old sectors
called Cunco; where my "cousin" is at. it was great to see Elder Mondragon…
we had a good time. we went and bought me a new back pack and
then visited Cautin! it was so great to pass by Hermana Gladys, Andrea
and the Bishop Franco’s houses... i couldn’t believe they remembered me!
it was so great to see them... all in all, it has a been a pretty long day.
that’s why i am so late getting back to you. but i love you all! have a
great week! hope you have a good New Year!
