aloha! er… hola..
thanks for the advice mom! i feel bad i have been taking a lot of money
out recently cuz, well... we don’t get fed very well here… sooo i am
cooking me a good egg breakfast and a chorizo midnight snack, ha. I
really am trying to stay within my means.. it’s just hard when we don’t get fed
that well. and as far as the pictures of Brett go…. i don’t know if they will work.
if you could, could you send me the professional one of him? it’s sounds
kind of weird, but i just want a picture of him on my scripture case to always
remind me of eternal life, and that i need to stay on the right track
to achieve it! if you could, that would be great mom… no rush though,
i’ve got another year to get the order sent in. In answer to your question,
I have not received any packages other than the one from Allie. i have received
the Dear Elders though, and i will try to write letters. It’s just hard… not to
mention … it costs four bucks to send a letter where I’m at! :(
but… I’m thinking of sending a package home, so i will put them with
that when i get some time…. and tell Spenser Simpson feliz cumpleaños
for me!
well… things here are looking up in Victoria! two baptisms last week!
awesome. it was great to have taught them and learned from them. i will
still keep learning from them too! i have seen such a change in
Patricio... he is a great guy and after 20 years of his wife hoping
and praying, he finally made the decision! and we, Elder Clemence and
i, were the lucky ones to be able to teach him… even though he was
already prepared! the Lord really is preparing people! there weren’t
even any problems with the baptisms. everything went so smoothly.
usually Satan likes to put his foot in the door, but we shut it early
this time! i was lucky...and able to baptize Carolina and confirm Patricio.
the baptism wasn’t bad, but i was worried with the confirmation… only
because I’m grrringo and it was in front of the branch in Sacrament
Meeting. but it went great! I’m sure i screwed up a couple words, but
the spirit was there and Patricio was content! great times.. i will
never forget.
we went and visited my first sector again and also one of Clemences
areas. Haha, Brock you might be getting a facebook comment from Obispo
Franco saying that you are “whipped”. just ignore it:) he and his wife had
asked me what my plans were after the mission and i said, “definitely not get
married right away”, and went on to explain how my sisters whip their
husbands into shape (joke! i love you sisters:) ) and well Obispo knows Brock,
so he asked about him. just ignore it:)
anyway, things are going really well! this cambio is about done.... it has gone
by fast! I will obviously be staying here another cambio because Elder Clemence
goes home this Sunday… so same ol same ol! well I love you all! have a
great week!
love elder jackson
p.s. thanks for the motherly thought this week mom! it is great and
soo true. i will utilize it for sure… and tell Travis to not be such
a clutz! and to write me. i would like to hear from him.
(disculpenme si no me entiendan!)
here’s some pictures of the baptisms! Patricio is the smaller one in the
white. Andrea is the eight year old and Carolina is the other one. the
other picture is of Joey (the dog we gave to Klara for Christmas) the
cat and dog always fight until they get tired... and that really is
seven o’clock p.m. in our room..and it’s 94 degrees, with the fan on! it
got to 97 degrees but I didn’t take a picture of it. i love you all…..
have a great week! que tengan una buena semana!
