Email #58...Monday, April 4, 2011

Hola,

conference really was great this last week. it's kind of a bittersweet
thing that happens with conference... when we don't have investigators,
we can watch the conference in English. well... since our investigators
are so freakin’ great... we had one in three of the four sessions (obviously
didn't come for priesthood)! i understand Spanish, but the translators
sometimes get a little carried away and it's just better and more
satisfying listening to the real voices of the Brethren. luckily, i was able to
listen to priesthood and the last session in English...and Uncle Paul's
talk.( which, by the way, was great.) i know we all learned a lot from the talks
so i will not go into detail. it's just amazing the opportunity we have
to have a living prophet on the earth today who guides us and knows
what we need to hear... as well as his apostles and other leaders! i am
truly grateful for that! we are living in hard times, but we have so
many helps along the way in our path of life.

this week has been a good one. nothing really new has happened, just
working with the people we have right now and searching. we are going
to have a talent show in a couple of weeks, so the missionaries are
planning up something with our investigators. it's great how involved
they want to be! they are making friends with each other and the other
members are accepting. it's funny though, we gave a talk two weeks ago about
mission work and how important it is to get references and have the
members help. well that's old news for all the members, they usually
just brush it off. but our investigators... Gissela and Natalia have been
inviting all their friends to church! it's awesome! and that's how it
should be in the ward. it just goes to show you how "golden" our investigators.
are! we will be having Natalia's baptism this week... hopefully. we'll see how
she is doing with the cigarettes...

i'm sorry i forgot to bring my camera again... i have some pictures
that i would like to send as well. i don't know if i told you but
Claudia got baptized! i'm excited for her.. Johanna is still waiting
though. mm anything you guys would like to know about my sector? or
what i'm eating? interesting questions? i just feel like the same old
thing every week so if you want questions answered just ask me. love
you all! have a great week!
